Following the regulation led response to the 2008 financial crisis, our regulatory data products have provided transaction reporting solutions to many clients covering MiFID I, EMIR, Dodd-Frank and 871(m) mandatory requirements. For MiFID II go live in Jan 2018, we have recently upgraded our global Classification of Financial Instruments (CFI) database to the latest ISO 10962: 2015 standard in readiness.
Our trusted CFI data, used by the world’s top 10 banks and many market participants, covers all tradable futures and options worldwide, as deployed in our community data model since 2014. This enhancement complements our other regulatory data attributes, which include traded series ISINs and new Base Product, Sub Product and Further Sub Product classifications, to provide the essential reportable data elements required under MiFID II. We will also maintain Aii (Alternative Instrument Identifier) to ISIN translation symbology for existing EEA markets under MiFID I through our Xymbology service, to facilitate the transition of Aii markets to ISIN and to support retrospective analysis of trading activity.
As part of our recent announcement of successful integration into our live production of Thomson Reuters DataScopePlus data feed, which provides intraday reference data and symbology updates for global futures and options markets, we have also integrated their MiFID II data packages, which offers end users a well-engineered, fit for purpose solution from the industry’s leading providers, with enriched data sets, ready-mapped for clients’ systems. This extended alliance partner agreement builds on the successful collaboration between our two firms since 2005, which offered a ground breaking symbology reference data solution.
As a specialist data vendor Euromoney TRADEDATA has supported reference data needs in the derivatives industry for over two decades and is responsible for improved processing efficiencies across multiple trading platforms from the front to the back office. We have innovated new data content and engineered customised data feeds covering exchange, contract and symbology information delivered to the global banks, key software vendors and regulatory authorities.
The wave of regulatory reform across Europe and USA with punitive fines for non-compliant transaction reporting is challenging the supply of fit for purpose compliance data. As the premium provider of global futures and options reference data, Euromoney TRADEDATA is pleased to offer a suite of transaction reporting data that complies with regulatory mandates across both Europe and USA jurisdictions. Fit for purpose, enriched compliance data is available for key ETD and key OTC cleared markets, all delivered into its powerful community data model of quality assurance.
